Woman’s 87-year-old neighbor Doug personally hand-delivers invitation to his winter party, dozens of people from the neighborhood attend: '4 p.m. until the cops show up'

In a world where most invitations are sent with a quick text or the insufferable Partiful invite (someone had to say it), Doug Turner took an old-school approach by delivering hand-written invitations to his winter party to all of his neighbors, signed off with the unforgettable time slot of "4 p.m. until the cops show up." Naturally, the internet fell in love with the 87-year-old legend and his party quickly became the neighborhood event of the season.

His neighbor, Michelle Hernandez (@meeesher), shared the wholesome moment on TikTok from the initial hand-delivered invitation to the decked-out party decor, and it instantly went viral. An update shared that dozens of neighbors showed up to the party, showing that a good time doesn't need anything fancy. All you need is good company, good vibes, and a reason to get together in these dreaded cold months. Honestly, we'd all be lucky to have a neighbor like Doug.
