The council of resident cats, who had long claimed the territory as their own, quickly convened to assess the worthiness of this mysterious void kitten. Serious deliberations were surely held, including discussions about whether this newcomer could be trusted with the prime sunbathing spots, whether he would respect the sacred nap times, and, most importantly, whether he would be fair when it came to sharing treats.
