Well, it would be nice to think that cats would come for cuddles with the promise or worse yet, demand of treats, but such is the relationship that we have developed with them. And unlike doting doggos, clever cats know better than to give in to a cuddle without the promise and proof that treats will be delivered as compensation for touching time. But you might be thinking to yourself that this all sounds a little strange, that it does not sound reasonable to allow cats to rule our lives so vigorously. But the fact is that we would be nothing without them and they know it. So all that is left to do, is to be the clever hooman who always has treats on them and as such will always get to cuddle the cute cats of the world.

It is not a matter of preference. It is a matter of preparation. And if you are not prepared to bow to the demands of our feline overlords, then honestly, you might be better off devoting your love and attention to dogs.
