According to DailyMail, Florencia Lobo and her brother were just enjoying a normal day outside when they heard a cry, walked closer to inspect it, and found two kittens on the ground. Lobo adopted what she thought were two completely normal kittens and took care of them as best as she could, naming them Tito and Dani, who unfortunately passed two weeks later.

And sure, Lobo thought that Tito was a bit active, but she didn't suspect for a moment that he might not be a regular cat. “He likes to play, bite and run pretty fast,” Lobo said. “He liked to get on the table and jump from there, he thought it was normal.” His hyperactiveness, eventually, caused Tito to injure one of his legs.

After a visit to the vet, Lobo found out her cat was of a different species, but it was only after contacting several veterinarians and reaching out to an animal expert, did she find out that Tito was actually a wild cat - a jaguarundi puma. With a heavy heart, Lobo turned him over to the Argentine Animal Rescue Foundation where he got medical treatment for his injured leg and was eventually released into the wild.

“He followed me everywhere. He never lacked any meat, milk, or anything where I live. He was a pet for me,” a somber Lobo said. “If you raise and spoil him, you feel like he is yours and it causes you pain that they take him away, but deep down I know that it is good that they took him and will return it to nature.”
