Friend-zoning is completely acceptable. We've all been there—feelings aren't mutual, and it's better to establish clear boundaries than lead someone on. It's a normal part of dating life. Most people accept it, lick their wounds, and move on.  

Friend-zoning your long-term partner, though? That's… a choice. The person who's been by your side for years, who loves you, and who probably thought you'd at least have the decency to pretend to still care? Sure, toss them in the friend bucket. Why not? Feelings change, right?  

Now, deciding to friendzone them as an actual breakup method? That's next-level. Instead of telling them the relationship isn't working or having a heartfelt conversation, you hit them with the downgrade. Nothing like a casual demotion of their entire role in your life to really ease the blow.  But the considerate, not-at-all sociopath of a girlfriend at the center of today's story didn't stop there.
