'I got an opportunity I couldn’t resist': 29-year-old gamer cancels ex-girlfriend's internet without telling her, she retaliates

Very few breakups happen easily, especially when the unhappy couple is living together.  However, some individuals are worse to have as exes than others. When a romance turns sour, people do all kinds of things ranging from crazy to annoying in reaction to the breakdown of the relationship. It isn't just the emotional fallout of not being in love anymore that stings but also the practicality of separating your former partner's life from yours. A lot of admin goes into it.

When somebody has to move out of your house as well as your bed, there is a lot that can go wrong. It is only made worse with a careless or vengeful ex who knows that this is the perfect opportunity to mess things up further. The end of a relationship can provide inconveniences that might not rival heartbreak, but some of them can come pretty close when there is enough spite behind them.

  • This is exactly what one woman was on the receiving end of with her ex after he moved out of their formerly shared house. She needed to change all the bills and services to her name, and she had to let her ex take charge of the internet provider. He completely canceled the account, leaving her without internet access for a week while she set it up again.

    What her ex didn't think about is that this gave her the perfect motive for some petty revenge relating to some other things they had shared before their breakup. She described how she got her own back.

    My ex (29M) has not been taking our breakup kindly since I (31F) ended it in December. He's tried to guilt me into getting back with him, not respected my boundaries and really living up to his comment that he 'no longer needs to be nice to me' now that we're not together. When he left, I called the provider but as I was the secondary on the account, I could not make changes without his permission as it was his account.     I knew I had 3 options here: 1. I could just play my game and kick him off his temporarily. Allowing him to log back in later and play, giving my time to see if I could find another solution for transferring the games he'd bought 2. I could go do something else and let him play 3. I could change my password and kick him out permanently So what did I do?     EDIT: I have since learned from a few commenters that he won't have to redownload the games if he creates his own account. Thanks for the intel! I'm still going to enjoy that he has to buy them all again. Some of these games cost $70 each
