After hounding her for months to help her with her work and to teach her how to do her job, this worker reported her coworker to HR for finally setting a boundary. Her coworker, by the worker's own account, was incredibly skilled at her job, which drove her to constantly ask her an endless stream of questions. This didn't go the way she thought it would, with HR and their boss telling her to stay out of the coworker's way. At the end of the day, you can report anyone to HR, and while you should never hope to have retaliation for something serious, you shouldn't expect people to love you for it—especially when it's something as frivolous as this.
She turned to this online community with what she thought was an appeal to reason, where she was, again, put in her place. See her story, followed by a selection of the responses, below.
