#34: Giant Parasite from Giant Kraken: Grilled Plain and Kabayaki-Style
Listen, I know it looks good. I know it's safe to eat… HOWEVER, it's still a parasite. I am unequivocally not interested.
-
#33: Tentacles with Vinegar Dressing
A paralyzing tentacle doused in vinegar? I'll pass.
-
#32: Rolled Harpy-Egg Omelet
It's fine, I guess… It's just an omelet made from a harpy egg, which isn't something I find particularly enticing. If I'm going to be eating food made from monsters, at least make it interesting!
-
#31: Griffin Soup
This is another one that I feel is a bit simple. The recipe is salt, water and griffin meat. It's probably pretty good, but it doesn't jump out at me.
-
#30: Grilled Kelpie
It looks pretty good, but it's nothing special.
-
#29: Steamed Living Armor
While it is pretty metal (get it, metal?), I just didn't find this all that appetizing since the characters describe it as "musty".
-
#28: Hippogriff Soup
Similar to the Griffin Soup, but Hippogriff isn't a real thing without the changeling circle, so I'd be much more interested in trying this.
-
#27: Mandrake and Basilisk Omelet
This is another one that really just doesn't call to me, though I'm sure it'd be delicious.
-
#26: Eisbein-Style Cockatrice and Dryad Bud Sauerkraut
A good one. I'd eat it for sure.
-
This is where it starts to get really tough to rank them… Everything just looks so delicious!
-
#25: Ice Golem Savory Egg Custard and Cooked Fish (from in the Golem)
It looks really tasty, and seems like it would be perfect for cold weather (or a cold floor in the dungeon;))
-
#24: Tentacle Gnocchi
I'm curious how this one would taste with the giant frog meat in it…
-
#23: Let's Cutlet the Dragon to Pieces
A cutlet made of giant frog meat. Seems like it'd be pretty good to me.
-
#22: Porridge made from Grain that was just Lying Around
Simple, but delicious!
-
#21: Soul Eggs Benedict
Nothing like a good eggs benedict! The plating is beautiful to boot!
-
#20: Grilled Living Armor
Now, unlike the steamed living armor, this isn't musty at all, and seems quite tasty actually.
-
#19: Sky Fish and Chips
Fish and chips, a classic.
-
#18: Hippogriff Soup Dumplings
I am a big dumpling fan, so these are very enticing to me.
-
#17: Mandrake Kakiage & Giant Bat Tempura
These look absolutely amazing, but honestly, they would be much higher on my list without the giant bat meat.
-
#16: Roast Basilisk
I want to put this higher on the list, and I would certainly like to compare the taste with chicken, but since it tastes a lot like chicken, I feel like it's not something I need to try.
-
#15: Boiled Mimic
The way they describe it, how it gets more and more flavorful as you eat it… Sounds incredible.
-
#14: Tentacle & Kelpie Stew, Prepared with Undine
I'm a big stew lover, this is the type of food I could eat every day. Plus, it helps restore magic, which is always a huge problem in my life.
-
#13: Living Armor Dwarf-Style Stir-Fry and Living Armor Soup
Senshi outdid himself with these! This is the way I'd like to be eating living armor!
-
#12: Candied Mandrake
These seem like a great little snack, and can you imagine how cool you'd look snacking on one of these bad boys?
-
#11: Exorcism Sorbet
I mean, who doesn't want to eat a frozen treat made of holy water that was used to exorcise ghosts?
-
Now, for the last ten!
-
#10: Jack-o'-Lantern Potage and Sauteed Dryad Buds with Cheese
Now, it does sound good, but I'm not going to lie and say that a big part of why it's so high on the list is because of how cool eating out of a dryad fruit would look… Listen, I never claimed to be unbiased!
-
#9: Fifth Floor Meal
I love that this meal is thrown together with leftover ingredients they had from the fifth floor, and it just seems like a really well-balanced meal!
-
#8: Changeling Dumplings from Fairy Ring
Honestly, all the stuff with the changeling ring really interests me, so this intrigued me. It's a cool idea, and they're so colorful.
-
#7: Man-Eating Plant Tart
I don't know why, but this one sounded so good to me. It also looks great, I craved this from the second I saw it.
-
#6: Stone-Baked Cockatrice and Egg Ankake
The meal itself has my mouth watering AND I get to taste the edible brick? Count me in!
-
#5: Huge Scorpion and Walking Mushroom Hotpot
I mean, this is a classic. They put this in the first episode for a reason. It draws you in, and is the first meal that shows us that monster food can be delicious!
-
#4: Barometz Balut
I mean, this looks like a michelin star meal. Furthermore, this would be the perfect meal for a vegan, since the meat is actually just a plant!
-
#3: Nightmares Steamed in Sake
I mean, this is another one that made it much higher on the list because of the gimmick, but come on! You can see dreams in the steam! That's so freaking cool! Of course they're high on the list!
-
#2: Red Dragon Meal
A red dragon roast, dragon tail soup and onion pizza bread. Dragon is an absolute delicacy, as it seems, and this food looks world-class. I was so jealous watching them eat this meal. It's an easy second.
-
And, drum roll please…
-
#1: Naturally Delicious Treasure Insect Snacks
There are some really amazing meals in this show… But the treasure bugs have a hold on me. I would pay a lot of money to try these. Oh, how opulent it would feel eating money and gems.
-
So, that's my ranking of all the foods from Delicious in Dungeon! I hope you enjoyed it, feel free to comment and let me know if you agreed, disagreed, or tell me which one you'd most like to eat!
