If you enjoy taking an active part in any sort of fandom, you know how fun it is to imagine yourself in different scenarios related to your beloved interest. If you go on AO3, there are plenty of fanfictions in which the writer is part of the story, walking around in their favorite universe and experiencing things they've always dreamed of. And then that story is read by thousands of other fans who dream of the same thing.

How, why, where, when, and with whom we dream we'd be inside our favorite stories, is all up to us. Are we living the main character's life? Are we their best friends? Do we watch everything happen from the sidelines, or do we have our own side story that has nothing to do with the canon events? So many possibilities for us to choose from, so many scenarios to dream of before we go to sleep at night.

That is why I love to indulge and share Harry Potter discussions like the one down below. They remind me of how fun being a part of a fandom is and of the endless experiences you can have, even with just your imagination alone.
