Heartwarming Moment Caught on Video of Terrified Rescue Dog Deemed 'Unadoptable' Finally Coming Out of His Corner After 11 Days and Accepting to Be Hand-Fed

It's not easy learning to trust in general, let alone after unimaginable misuse of your trust. There are humans out in the world who have been through so much that they might never be able to fully trust again. So when you see a rescue dog who has been so grossly mistreated and can't even walk out of their crate without shaking gain the ability to trust again, wow. Just wow. That truly is one of the most inspirational things you can witness. This is something you can find online pretty easily, because the internet loves a good animal glow-up story, as we all should. But when you foster, you really get to experience it firsthand.

This rescuer works with dogs who have been deemed "unadoptable" for whatever reason. These are dogs who are deeply deeply terrified and have difficulty being around humans again. Usually, you don't even know exactly what happened to them, but if they are refusing to eat for days simply because they are so terrified, then it's probably safe to assume it was something very bad. Dogs do not deserve that sort of treatment! EVER. PERIOD.

This pup in particular, named Mowgli, provides a beautiful example of how dogs just need lots of love and patience in order to heal. And we can give that to them! Mowgli wouldn't even step out of his crate for 11 days. He stayed in the furthest corner in his crate and was too scared to be around any humans. However, on the 11th day, something amazing happened—he not only finally walked out of his crate—albeit, very shakily and scared—he also allowed his rescuer to hand-feed him chicken! It's both a heartbreaking sight to see and also beautiful and inspirational!

Since going viral on TikTok, Mowgli has made even more progress! He has his good and bad days, like the rest of us—and healing is never linear—but he is doing much better and everybody loves to see it. There was even a recent update that stated someone reached out with knowledge of Mowgli's previous life. Whatever is ahead for Mowglie, we are rooting for the day he wags his tail and gets to live a life full of love and happiness, as he deserves!
