Wholesome person rescues tiny sick kitten that was left alone whose momma tragically passed away, giving the fierce feline a second chance at happiness: 'I didn't know what else to do'

The outside world is dangerous for cats. We all know that. An outdoor cat's lifespan is significantly shorter than that of a housecat, that is why we are always wary when it comes to letting cats outside. There are so many things out there that can hurt them, and one of those things, unfortunately, is cars. So, it wasn't surprising when we saw that this tiny kitten's momma passed away in a car crash, but it was tragic. Because now this sick, tiny kitten was alone, and she needed help.

Thankfully, there are some good people left in the world, and this kitten was rescued. This person did not know what to do, how to help, where to go, but they knew that they needed to rescue the kitten. They knew that without them, she would not have survived out there. So, they took her, they adopted her, they are doing their very best to help her heal, and they are giving her the second chance in life that she deserves.

  • First of all, we want to start by saying thank you. Not everyone would have stopped to help a kitten in need like you did, and we wish more people were like you. You may not have known exactly what you were doing, but what you were actually doing was: the right thing.

    acciointernet He looks just like my cat when I found him!!!!! He was 6 oz and maybe 3-4 weeks old. Same eye gunk and COVERED in fleas. We gave him meds for the eye stuff (respiratory infection iirc) and the fleas and I fed him from a tiny bottle for weeks every few hours. He's now 14 years old this May. The vet will provide you all the advice you need!

    Gistheking OP I hope so. I am kinda nervous lol. Only ever had dogs. My mom is experienced enough to help me out if needed. Also gonna be in a splint a few days, fractured arm as well :(

  • It looks like you are doing just fine by this kitten. She's got a rough start in life, but we can tell that she is in the best of hands. You keep doing what you are doing, and everything will be great. The only thing we ask is: more updates, please. We're so invested.

    She is a girl around 4 weeks old and almost exactly 1lb. She has been given boosters, dewormed and is on meds for her eye infection. The vet wants me to keep them posted and check in a week to see if the cast is ready to come off. We got home a few minutes ago and now we're thinking of a name. Also for those interested I did go back and check a few times where I found her for anymore kittens around and I haven't seen any.

    TheHuardian I saw your other post - if you're committed to it, you'll be fine. I've been a dog person my entire life but my girlfriend wanted a cat and he is an adventure. A devil sometimes, but he is so funny and unique. Take your time and you'll be fine. You're already on the right track.
