We've all had that guilty fantasy of wanting to be a mermaid. Heck, remember playing it? They have such an elegant and special presence that you feel even when just taking about it. And we have all taken part in the craze just a tad... with the mermaid nails, mermaid hair, mermaid blankets, and more. However, this one might just take the winning mer-style. There's a mermaid "dudeoir" photo shoot, and we've gotta say, Bravo!

So basically it's a Calendar....

The calendar titled "Merb'ys," features the bearded men from the Newfoundland and Labrador Beard & Moustache Club as mermen. Founder of the Canadian-based club told Buzzfeed that it is a club open to anyone who is into facial hair and giving back to the community.

The Calendar is for a good cause...

Going for $25, the calendar will donate proceeds to Spirit Horse NL, which uses horses to help those with mental health issues.

Why horses?

Hai told Buzzfeed, "They're desperately in need of funds and awareness because it's expensive to raise and upkeep horses [...] I figured right away that this is a cause our club to get behind."

So why the name "Merb'ys"?

The word "Merb'ys" combines "mermaid" and "b'y," which is a local term for boy.

Why Mermaids?

"I'm the kind of fellow who embraces challenges and fun and whimsical ways of fund-raising for good causes, so I embraced the life aquatic ... and dove in," Hai told CafeMom
But as funny as the photos may be, one of the main goals of it was to break down the stereotype that men are not vulnerable, or cannot show effection and emotion.
He told CafeMom, ""Men can be vulnerable, [and] can show emotion and affection [...] "We can wear wild colors and hold hands. We can be all shapes and sizes, and there is no stigma in any of it!"
