17-year-old's mother calls security to kick entitled woman's screaming kids out of the store: 'How dare you teach ME how to parent!'

Shopping with a parent can be an excruciating experience as a teenager. Part of that is only natural. At that age, you are practically genetically engineered to be embarrassed or annoyed by anything and everything your parents do or say, especially in public. Furthermore, you're at that age where being hypercritical about what looks good on you is a common impulse (ideally, that impulse fades away as you get older). 

Still, as schmaltzy as this may sound, it's still worth it to begrudgingly go shopping with your parents during those teen years because as cringeworthy as it may be, you will likely look back fondly at those experiences. Furthermore, if you're as lucky as this teenager was, your parent might show another side of themselves during the whole shopping excursion, and you just might value the memory even more because of it.

  • This teenager was in the midst of shopping at the mall with her mother when another customer and her entitled kids entered the store. The kids were touching all the makeup supplies in the store and putting their dirty hands on everything while running amok. Of course, their mother wasn't willing to do anything about it, so the author's mom stepped in.

    Let's just say that the other shopper was not too pleased when security got involved to forcibly remove her kids from the store!

    Mom: Excuse me, are these kids yours? (I know, very obvious, but my mom is a VERY polite person, so it's not odd to me) EM: yeah.

    The kids looked terrified and cue the waterworks. EM immediately stormed over and began reprimanding the guards for "scaring her poor wittle angels". She then saw my mom nearby.

    She screamed more obscenities at my mom, the guards, anything around really, but the guards weren't having it and told her to leave. She created quite a scene but Thank everything that is holy, she left. My mom had quite the story to tell at dinner. A rather comedic encounter with an Entitled Parent.
