"The dog didn't grow up with the kitties (he's originally my boyfriend's dog) and had never been around cats before. We slowly introduced them, and now they're a pack!
Balu (the kitty on the right) was immediately besties with Saffi (the dog) when they first met. But can you believe that Nanuk (the kitty in the middle) was actually scared of Saffi at first? He was a street cat for many years before I got him—maybe that's why.
When I first introduced them, I gave the kitties their own "safe room" where Saffi couldn't enter. Nanuk wouldn't come out of the room at all during the first week. But look at them now!"
