This stepmother got exactly what was coming for her.

Most tales of stepparent strife start with awkward tension but eventually lead to some genuine bonding and understanding, provided that both parties are trying to be decent, empathetic human beings. Unfortunately, this stepmother proved herself to be anything but that, and so some petty revenge was inevitable. In fact, the author's father couldn't even get upset because his marriage to the stepmother came to a sudden end, and let's just say it wasn't amicable.

  • The author begins his tale with some background information, including the fact that his sibling has epilepsy. During the stepmother's brief marriage to their father, there was a button in their bedroom that was to be used if the sibling's symptoms were acting up. This was never used to disrupt their sleeping father and stepmom; rather, it was always used for safety and precautionary purposes.

    However, once the stepmother was going through a divorce, she showed zero signs of caring for the author's sibling and for their condition. So when it came time for their stepmother to move out, she asked the author for help with the move. The author, at this point, had no desire to do so.
