"Entitled lady steals my yoga class reservation"

This happened just now and I'm still super mad. After a long break from working out I've decided to get back into it slowly and steadily by joining the yoga class at my gym. They have multiple classes per week in different locations and

times, but unfortunately the time and place that suits me the best is very popular and you have to make a reservation at least more than a week in advance.

I usually show up 15 minutes in advance and have no problems, but due to traffic caused by a road accident I was running a bit late this time. This gym is on the seventh floor of the building and I

got to the elevator in the underground parking 10 minutes before the class so still plenty of time to change and get ready if I am fast.

I get on the elevator and there's this lady I've seen in the yoga class before and she starts acting super weird. She starts "accidentally" pressing the wrong buttons. Every stop she stands in the doors "accidentally" blocking them. All while glancing at her watch.

As soon it hits 5 minutes before the start of the class she suddenly remembers how elevators work and we quickly get to the 7th floor where the gym is. Instantly she starts sprinting to the front desk, throws her membership card at the worker and asks if there are any no shows for yoga.

See in this gym if you are not checked in 5 minutes before the start of the class you are declared a no show and your spot is open for taking on first come first serve basis.

On the self check in machine it says im a no show and the front desk says sorry she just took the last spot.

So now I drove 40 minutes, now have to drive back for 30 minutes and all for nothing. The next yoga class I can make is in a week and I'm just super disappointed. Oh and probably I'm also getting slapped with the no-show fee.

bugscuz 3 hr. ago Since you didn't make a fuss nothing is stopping her from doing it again. Maybe next time call them to let them know you're running a little late because a mentally ill woman is messing with the elevator while you're trying to get upstairs

Which-Category5523. 2 hr. ago In the future check in as early as you can and then go back down and sit in your car. Ten minutes before class do just as you did this day.

Hopefully she takes the bait and is fully disappointed when she reaches the counter and your already checked in.

"Hey, y'all! Get this! Karen over there deliberately made me late for the last session by pushing every single button on the elevator to waste time, then practically ran to the the desk to check for no- shows so she could steal my spot. has she done this to any of you?"

If they say yes, then you can all talk about what an hole she is and shame her hard. Then go as a group to gym management to make formal complaints against her. If they don't do anything about it,
