25 Lord of the Rings Memes for Couples on a Romantic Walk Through Middle Earth (April 6, 2025)
The reason we're all so enamored with the lifestyle of the Hobbits in the first 15 minutes of The Fellowship of the Ring is that we're all secretly obsessed with leisure and good food. Hobbit life is unsurprisingly the most captivating fantasy in LOTR because it's so close yet so far away for many of us. Imagine relaxing and reading a book under a 200-year-old tree, while the sun-kissed grass sways in the springtime breeze. Insanely appealing, right?
While the later happenings of the story in Middle Earth transcend into a reality that we're more accustomed to—tyrannical overlords, war-torn cities, and really angry forests—for a brief moment in the hills of the Shire, we get to experience true bliss as a hobbit. Truthfully, if I could transpose myself into the role of any fictional character, I'd hope to be dear ol' Rosie Cotton, living the dream as a barmaid at the Green Dragon, awaiting the return of my heroic regular, Samwise Gamgee.
But until then, I suppose it's hardened cheese, fresh bread, and a half-pint of ale on the menu again for the evening, and as we await the fulfillment of our truest desire (hobbit life becoming real life), we'll have a late supper and enjoy some jolly tunes with our 60 closest friends and neighbors.
