  • "My boss is about to get fired. Should I tell her?"

I recently put in my resignation at a company due to low wages, work/life balance, etc. and accepted an offer at another company with higher wages and more
  • benefits. I received an email from HR after submitting my resignation offering me the Director's (My boss) position. They basically stated that they are going to fire her. I
  • declined the offer but I'm wondering should I tell her she's getting fired? Edit: Wednesday is my official last day. I don't plan
  • on saying anything to her. I'll let you all know how this plays out. Edit 2: Part of me feels like I'm going to thrown under the bus in this situation...... we'll see
  • LBTRS1911 No, mind your own business...notifying your boss of their pending termination is NOT your business.
  • AdAdmirable4911 OP You're right!
  • bigk777 I find it strange that they told you this. Nothing has technically happened to the boss het. So this is essentially a promise for a job that is technically not open yet.
  • AdAdmirable4911 OP Exactly. It was shady!

  • kapt_so_krunchy I've learned this about work. Just because you know some piece of information doesn't mean you need to leverage it or do anything with it. 99% nothing good will happen and, 50% of the time something bad will happen.
  • daysgoneby22 As much as you want to let her know, you have no idea what the end game will be. You might have been the only one they planned on offering her job. Since you said no, they might keep her.
  • Don't rock the boat because it's not your boat. Just sail away, happily. Good luck and congratulations on the new job.
  • DovegrayUniform Wow that's such a red flag for your organization. Run and be glad that you got out!
  • JohnnySkidmarx Would your boss give you warning if you were going to get fired? Probably not.
  • Update: I kept my mouth closed and didn't say a word. I Just received notice that she was let go. Someone () told her that I was offered the position and I
  • have completely cut ties with the company and everyone involved. It is what it is!
  • received a lengthy text from her stating that I knew this was going to happen and I should have told her and she feels betrayed, etc. Anyway, I
  • PoliteCanadian2 What a dumb company. They tell you they are going to fire her and then they tell her that they offered her job to you? Can you be any dumber?
  • AdAdmirable4911 OP My thought exactly! I'm so grateful for getting another job and parting ways with that snake pit of a company!
  • Renegadegold Who would of been "someone" told her? Sounds like you told your co- workers and knowing that loose lips sink ships.
  • AdAdmirable4911 OP I didn't say anything to anyone. I followed everyone's advice
