Welcome back introverts of the internet. If you're like me, then it means you identify as introverted. I'm not sure if anyone else shares this pressure as an introvert, but a lot of people confuse introvertedness with shyness, or quietness. In my social and personal life, I love my friends, I like to be with them, and I can get quite energetic and engaged in conversation. The thing I absolutely loath isn't socializing in and of itself, it's pretend socializing, it's small talk, and it's all the stupid social cues that we have to follow to seem "normal." Introvertedness isn't about only keeping to yourself, it's the desire to have meaningful conversations only.

Extroverts, on the other hand, like socializing regardless of what it looks like. They'll talk your ear off for hours about one thing or another, and they never get sick of their own voice, or listening to someone else. This is something all introverts can't stand, myself included. My voice needs its rest time, as well as my ears.
