Neutered cat goes exploring and brings back two orphaned wild kittens for his pawrent to adopt, turning their feline foster father into a heartwarming dad dad

You know what they say, feline fam: You can take away the boy's ability to reproduce, but you can't take away his desire to be a father. Maybe that's not purrfectly correct, but you get the idea. Don't get us wrong - we 100% want you to spay and neuter your cats - there are enough stray cats in this world for us to adopt as it is. However, that fatherly instinct runs strong even after the snip-snip surgery, so strong in fact, that one day, your male cat might just bring home some kittens for you both to adopt.

Enter Kevin, stage left. Kevin decided his pawrent needed some more feline energy in their lives, so on one of his many adventures outside he found two orphaned, wild kittens all alone and hungry. Now, Kevin is an orange cat, so his thinking is very linear: these kittens are hungry, his hooman feeds him all the time, therefore, the kittens will get fed if he brings them to his hooman!     greywolf0678 Typically referred to as a nanny tom. Male cats that find and adopt kittens that aren't theirs. We have a few in our rescue that help us raise kittens. When there is no mother these males are very helpful in teaching the kittens proper behavior. You're lucky to have one.

    butipreferlottie He's such a good dad! My huge male cat was so gentle and sweet to my other cat when she was a kitten, it was the cutest thing. I tried to do the slow introduction thing, but he made it very clear that was his baby now the minute he saw her.

  • We love seeing men of all species step up and take care of the kids. Dads are great caretakers. In fact, we know some great stay-at-home dads. They love it and wouldn't trade it for the world.

    teslasneakthief We had a spayed female do that once. It was about 2 months after we had gotten her trapped and spayed. She comes home with a tiny calico kitten and drops it in the food dish outside

    my parents house. My dad said 'I want my money back' . That calico kitten then became his cat when they didn't find any adopters. She adores him and cleans his hair and beard.

    ashleyslo My orange was dumped across the street as a kitten so we brought him home. Then when he was about a year old he snuck in a feral female. We found her hiding inside our couch. She was surprise pregnant. But he was neutered so they weren't his. He made a great stand in dad ②
