What does it mean to be neighborly these days? In an age when most of us are plagued by social anxieties that render us nearly incapable of having a decent human interaction with anyone outside of our inner circles, when it comes to our neighbors, the vast majority of us want to be left alone. 

Let's be real here. Minimal interaction seems to be the best kind of relationship with the people next door. It doesn't matter how tight-knit the community may be, you don't need to have an extended conversation every time you see one another during your morning dog walk. Imagine how satisfied all the residents of a neighborhood would be if these interactions were limited to just the meaningful ones.

  • This resident noticed their neighbor's car parked in front of their place, and after a few days of this, it became difficult to cut the grass on their lawn without getting some onto the neighbor's vehicle. Plus, they had an upcoming furniture delivery and needed more space in front of their house. So, the author of the story decided to leave a note on the neighbor's car. As is the case with most passive-aggressive notes, this did not go over well. And so the neighborly feud began!
