Who here owns a pet? That's right, many of us. Did you know that 74.2% of people in the United States own a pet? Just kidding, I made that up. But seriously, most people like to have a little furry pet with them throughout the ebb and flow of life. Life can break us down, be tough on us, and demand more than we're capable of giving. When you're in a hard place in life, your animal can feel it. They have that "animal instinct," as they say. Have you ever been so sad about something, and then your pupper just snuggles up to you? Or maybe you were crying your eyes out over a breakup and your cat just comes and starts purring next to you? They feel things deeply, they feel things in ways we're not going to be in touch with until they remind us it's there. 

Pets are just the best. I have an adorable kitty cat of my own. He's cute and sweet, he's mischievous and dastardly. Even when he's at his naughtiest I just can't seem to get actually mad at him.
