Are you feeling particularly artistic today? Do you wonder if the human condition is an ever-growing entity that will live long beyond our children, our children's children, and beyond? Do you ask the big questions for fear of the answer? Well, if you answered "Yes!" to any of those questions, you'll be happy to find out that instead of me giving you the hard-hitting answers to human philosophy, I'm just here to hand out classical art memes! In a way, these memes answer the question we all think of at least once in our lives: How similar are we to our ancestors?
Memes, as they exist now, haven't always been like this. Jesters performed for their kings and queens, and in the 20th century, we had slapstick comedy to help entertain us. Now that we've all inherited Twitter fingers (for better or for worse), we rely on the internet, imagery, and collective understanding to make our jokes land. Though technology has stripped away some things we've had for centuries, the 21st century has inherited something great, too, which also emphasizes the timelessness of comedy, specifically classical art, and how that pertains to the human condition (and psyche). Well, that was a lot. Scroll below to take your mind off it.
