First-time foster pawrent takes in three tiny kittens and accidentally unlocks a pasta-themed feline cuteness overload: ‘Every day is chaos and I love it’

Hey, cat lovers! Some people dip their toes into kitten fostering. Others dive in headfirst and land in a pasta pile of chaos and cuddles. The first-time foster parent (OP) we're featuring today took in three five-week-old kittens and instantly realized they'd made the best decision ever. Meet Linguine (buff boy), Penne (tiny panther), and Bugatini (the smol calico queen).

Turns out, kittens are even more ridiculous and adorable than expected. Mealtimes are pure chaos. Legs are made for climbing. And every bathroom break now involves a cheering section of squeaky pasta-shaped shadows. Despite being new to all this, OP has already mastered the essentials: taping down the toilet lid, prepping for zoomies, and resisting the urge to adopt all three.

With a job that involves some travel, long-term adoption might not be on the table for OP just yet. But fostering? Absolutely happening again. Because once you experience life with a trio of curious, purring noodles, it's kind of hard to go back. And if you're wondering whether fostering is worth it, just look at the noodles. The answer is yes. Always yes.

She's still a baby at 9, but lives with my son now as a happy only cat who meows at birds who dare to walk on her skylights! I hope you have many, many good days. Kittens grow up so fast!

I know I used to consider myself a dog person, but I finally decided I am just a pet person in general. We have 3 cats and a dog. Love them all so much.

    BellaMoonbeam 12h ago Also, cats do well on their own if you travel and just have someone to come feed them. Since these guys have each other, they will be fine on their own when they are a little older. How can you give them up after fostering? I am not sure I could. I guess I did in the past. I had 4 cats, and my sisters were coming for a visit and found 3 kittens in the road. I kept them until I found them homes. Still, it was hard giving them up, but they got excellent homes.     Safe Association_234 OP • 11h ago Thank you for the advice and sharing your stories! It will be incredibly hard to let them go, not going to lie. I do have the option of friends checking in on them but it's the going away 1-2 months at a time part, I don't think that's fair on them when they have so much love to give! I was also a dog person before 2 weeks ago, one day I'd love to have both too.
