A man had been dealing with financial struggles when he managed to get a new job. He was proud of himself, but he quickly got suspicious that his friends did not feel the same way. When he went out to a restaurant with them for a birthday dinner, one of his friends began cracking numerous jokes about him being broke and not being able to afford to contribute financially to the dinner. It got to be too much, and he left early, but his friends were accusing him of taking things too seriously. Is it something that he should have just been able to laugh off, instead of making a point with his reaction?
