Living in an apartment complex means there's always that one neighbor who turns apartment life into a tragic comedy, but few rise to the legendary heights of the freeloader who makes 3 a.m. seem like prime time for a one-man rage concert. Meet the houseguest who is more of a permanent fixture sent by the universe to test everyone's faith in humanity and noise ordinances than a temporary tenant.

Allegedly there for "just a month or two," this almost-adult prodigy of uselessness has stretched a courtesy stay into a residency so long, the Guinness Book should send a plaque.

Our anti-hero's skills include: not paying rent, not enrolling in school, not obtaining employment, and not possessing an indoor voice. By day, he's a greens-fueled Call of Duty commentator, bombarding the neighborhood with his greatest hits, including threats against tiny dogs, and the kind of trash talk that would make a Discord moderator turn off the WiFi. By night, he's the Backstreet Boy you never asked for, belting out game chat through paper-thin walls that tremble at the sheer force of his entitlement.

Attempts to reclaim peace have ranged from passive-aggressive wall-banging to direct "please, for the love of sleep, shut up," which were all met with profanity and threats. 

The landlord's bold strategy? Document the complaints and suggest you involve the law, provided you're ready to star in your own after-hours daytime show.
