Alaskan momma moose strolls up to big city medical center and gives birth to beautiful baby on the lawn, while Anchorage hospital staff and patients watch in wild wonder

Today is a beautiful day, animal fam. The sun is shining, Spring is in the air, and the energy of renewal and growth is all around us. It's the pawfect day to stop and smell the flowers, feel the sun on your face, and watch a moose being born from outside your hospital window. Yes, you read that correctly. If not today, when else is she supposed to bring her beautiful baby calf into the world? And if not at a hospital, where else? 

All jokes aside, we should first say that we absolutely do not ever recommending getting this close to wild animals, especially moose. However, the moose strolled up to this big city medical center all on its own, and said, "The baby is coming!" She plopped down and proceeded to bring her baby into the world, while Anchorage hospital staff and patients watched in wild wonder. It must have been like watching a nature documentary in real life! We're happy to report that the moose are healthy and they didn't even charge her for delivery!

    The hospital I work at in Anchorage had two mommas give birth on the lawn last year, and each time the Labor and Delivery ward played the "new baby" jingle on the hospital PA system to celebrate their births :)
