One should always adjust one's expectations about an upcoming flight to the airline one has chosen to use. So much of what constitutes a decent flight experience is managing expectations and adjusting them when necessary. For instance, if you're flying Southwest on a flight where there is no assigned seating, as this airline passenger was, you should prepare yourself accordingly.

This passenger arrived at the gate as early as possible so that she could snag an aisle seat, since she tends to need to use the bathroom frequently on longer flights. This particular flight was seven hours long, so the aisle seat was a priority for her. That being said, she knew that it was not guaranteed. This was, after all, Southwest, but her early arrival and boarding managed to help her secure the seat she needed… that is, until an entitled passenger showed up and demanded to take her seat.
