'My dad spoke to me about not bringing home any more cats': "No more cats" dad becomes a grandpaw after rescue cat returns home to give birth to four kittens

This purrsistent little story shows just how easily a "no more cats" rule can crumble under the weight of one determined kitten. This pawrent had already made a deal with their dad. No more street cats sneaking into the kitchen and staying for good. But the very next morning, Dad came home with a tiny feline in a crate, complete with food and water. Turns out Flash, the kitten, had followed him down the road at 4am, enchanted by his flashlight. He couldn't leave her behind, of course. So much for no more cats!

Flash disappeared months later, leaving everyone worried. Then, out of nowhere, she catwalked right back into their lives looking very pregnant and clearly ready to pop. Naturally, Dad jumped into action. He set up a cozy basket with a rug, but Flash had other ideas. She insisted on settling down right under his bed. So he moved the setup there, and sure enough, she gave birth to four healthy little beans right at his feet.

From cat-cautious to full-blown cat dad and granddad, this story proves one thing. You don't adopt cats. Cats adopt you. And when they do, it's best to just paws and accept your new role.

    Bit of backstory: I've been adopting street cats that just wander into my kitchen looking for food. I give em some of my cats' food, and they decide to stay. At that point, my dad spoke to me about not bringing home any more cats because we already have so many. I agreed.

    The next morning, I woke up after he already left for work. There was a new kitten in the crate with food and water!! Then I saw dad texted me that the cat was following him onto the road and didn't want her to get run over so he walked back home and kept her in the crate so I can do the introduction to the other cats after I'm up.

    Well if it isn't Mr. Don't-Being- Home-Cats-No-More He named her Flash because she was following him because of the torchlight he was holding (he leaves for work around 4am). She went missing a couple of months ago.

    She came back all of a sudden Dad last night, pregnant immediately set up a basket with a rug for her. But she kept koving to the floor right below his bed. So we moved her basket there and she gave birth to four little beans.
