Finding the right therapist can be surprisingly difficult. When you first start looking, you think to yourself, "How hard could it be to work with a healthcare professional?" But then you realize that not every therapist is good at their job. And some are good at what they do, but you totally do not click with them. Maybe there's a bit of a language barrier. Maybe they seem distracted and hardly listen to you. Others spend way too much time yapping about their own problems, which is not what their patients shell out their hard-earned money for. 

These people shared the red flags that made them quit their therapist ASAP… let's hope they all found better matches.

    p... After a few months of us working together, every time I shared anything with her, she said, "OK, so, you just trauma dumped on me again" always with a tone of exhaustion. But she never gave me alternative options for sharing techniques, and I wasn't really sure why I was in therapy if I wasn't allowed to share things without getting weird pushback.
