'This registration is illegitimate': Restaurant employee kicks out entitled couple who bring their fake "service dog" to dinner after the untrained doggo nearly knocks a waitress, and their food, on the floor

There is always that one person who ruins something good for everyone else. Someone who tries to cheat the system or bend the rules in their favor. Whether it's skipping out on taxes or cutting in line at the buffet, people can't resist trying to work the system to their benefit. The pawblem is when those people make those who really do need this system look bad because they aren't following the rules. In this pawticular instance, we're talking about service dogs. Or, more accurately, fake service dogs.

Listen, we love our doggo. We would bring her everywhere with us if we could. As well-trained as she is, she might be able to, but that's not the world we live in, and we accept that. Some people don't. Some people, like the entitled couple in this story, brought their poorly-behaved "service dog" to a restaurant, where the doggo caused a near-disaster after running amok in the restaurant and nearly ruining their food.     disturbed other guests, went to the bathroom WITHOUT THE DOG. He left the dog with his wife, and in response the dog FREAKS OUT. She's whining, barking, trying to run to the bathroom to go get him. As a pet owner who has had animals with separation anxiety, that's exactly what it looked like.

That would stop people from trying to cheat their way into pretending their dogs/cats/bunnies/ferrets/fish are service animals that actually provide life-saving care. Can you imagine someone walking into a restaurant with a “service fish”?

    All of this to say that service animals are medically necessary pieces of equipment and it is stated by the ADA that all service dogs must be individually trained to perform specific tasks and aid a person with a disability. Faking a service
