'He had just given up': Lucky kitten saved by highway driver who pulls over to make last-minute rescue, now he's the smallest addition to their awwdorable family

Hey there, feline fam! We're not normally ones to believe in superstition, like how black cats are supposed to be bad luck. Now, that doesn't mean that on any given Friday the 13th, we might be taking a little more caution than usual. It can't hurt, right? Well, it turns out that the meowgic of Friday the 13th can go both ways - for the good, and the bad. This smol clementine kitten below is a purrfect example of how spooky these days can be!

This poor kitty was abandoned on a highway, and no one stopped for him, until one driver took notice. They pulled over and scooped up the flustered feline in distress and immediately took him to the vet. Thanks to their last-minute rescue, this little guy is healing up nicely, safe and sound. Apparently, the CDS goes to the extremes on Friday the 13th, and if not for this wholesome hooman, well, we don't want to think of the alternative. See more pics of this kitty cutie below!

    Everyone was just passing him!! He was laying on the side of the road and had just given up. He had some road rash on his eye socket (his eye is intact!!! thank god) and a really nasty, big laceration under one leg.

    Rushed him to the vet. They got him pain meds and fluids and checked him over, cleaned up his wound, and wrapped it with manuka honey. Luckily, little man seemed to have escaped any serious injury... somehow. And the cat distribution system has finally found me.

  • The CDS works in the strangest of ways. Sometimes it screams for your attention (like in this example), and other times, it's more of a whisper. All that matters now is that the kitty is safely at home, sleeping, and recovering. Welcome to the family!

  • Oh, this sweet angel! We literally can't with its tiny face. All we want to do is snuggle him and tell him everything is going to be okay. Just you wait, soon he'll be climbing to the top of your window curtains, and you'll wish he was a little bit slower. Kittens are pawsitively resilient!
