It is sad but true that elderly sick cats - and animals in general - get adopted much less than young healthy pets. We get it. We understand why. But we can't help but feel a tug in our hearts every time we hear about an elderly cat sitting in a shelter for a long time, just longing for a forever home. Because senior cats deserve love too! They deserve to spend the rest of their days - whether they have a couple of years or a couple of days - happy and content.
