31 Ghost Town Signs Straight Out of the ’50s

Ah, the America that America left behind. It is rather hilarious and ironic that the same country who invented the Lizard people conspiracy, is the same country who seemingly molted like a lizard leaving the shell of its once vibrant small town communities behind as it trudged forward to a bright technological future in the bigger cities of the country. And behind it the skin remains somewhat intact, blistered and puckered by the sands of time that have drifted through its remains for the last seventy years. Many consider that time to be a golden era for American civilization.

Representing prosperity and freedom for all. And while the truth was far from that idealistic notion, there is no denying that the path we have continued to take has not necessarily led us to a place that is better for us. So take a moment or two to stroll down the brightly colored boulevards of some of the Great America Ghost Towns keeping the American dream alive today.
