We are unquestionably at that time of year when I have a fan blasting most of the time, and honestly, it is pretty wild how quickly I adapt to it. Its constant rattling and blowing things about the place starts to become soothing, something that, when it gets to the time when it is no longer needed again, you almost start to miss the ways in which it is kind of annoying when you first start using it.

In some ways, a similar process can be applied to the entertainment that litters the internet. Everybody complained about how annoying Twitter was, then Elon Musk bought it, and we started to miss the old kind of annoying that it used to provide. We thought the amount of slop that people put out in the name of content was crazy, and then generative AI came along and made it look like child's play.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that there is nothing wrong with some background noise, as with some possibly forgettable random memes.
