See, this is one of the multitude of reasons that it makes sense to substitute a smoke detector with a doggo. A doggo does several things other than detect smoke and danger, and in this case the smoke detector that literally had one job and one job only, failed spectacularly. Dogs 1, technology 0.

Ok this seriously demands that they make a reboot of Lassie and instead of the rough collie breed they used in the original, the use a border collie. Sure it is somewhat of a lateral move, but what isn’t when you are remaking a classic we all remember and loved. It would just be nice to see a little change in their approach.
