Remember when you were a teenager and you couldn't wait for the next snow day because it meant that you'd be making $20 per front lawn you'd shovel? Or, when your dad asks you to help him do a spring-cleaning in the garage, but to incentivize you, tells you he'll buy you the new video game that comes out at the end of the month? Those were the good old days when you could do the most menial tasks and get rewarded for it, and even better because $20 felt like a million. Well, now, fathers give their kids $500 for a little extra help… Lucky.
Sometimes, parents don't want their kids to be happy, especially if it means the kids are happier than them. In this next story, a daughter rants about how her mother is upset that she received money in return for working for her father. The mother complains that she never sees money from him, but the daughter states that the mother is lying through her teeth. She earned that money, and her mother can't bear to see her reap the benefits of having responsibilities. Scroll below to read about the long, problematic history between them.
