Random microchipped cat falls onto the 5th floor balcony of an apartment, the owner doesn't show up to look for it for 36 hours, then tells the neighbor to just drop the cat off outside her apartment
The most unexpected part of this story to us is the at owner's reaction. Instead of rushing to get her lost cat back the moment she realized where it was, she seemed like she didn't care. This cat owner claims to love her cat but certainly doesn't act like it. You would be rushing to hug your kitty as soon as you found out who had it if you did, not asking the person who found your cat to just drop it off in front of your apartment.

Neat freak boyfriend wakes girlfriend up in the middle of the night repeatedly to make her clean cat fur, she gets fed up and lies to him just so he won't come over
The man here doesn't have to say "it's me or the cat" for that to be the came. He's clearly unable to deal with the idea of cats or cat fur, and he's really letting it affect his relationship. It looks like the woman here is going to make the right choice though. At least we hope so.

Roommate adopts a cat to post pictures of it on social media, gets sick of the cat and threatens to sell it, demands $1,100 from her two sister roommates who want to keep the kitty, then changes her mind two days later
The person in this story did not want to adopt a cat for the cat. They adopted the cat for the brownie points that it would give them online - so they cute take cute pictures of their cat and post them online. They had no interest in taking care of the cat or even giving it affection. But when their roommates, who have been taking care of the cat anyway, said that they want to adopt the cat themselves… then, they threw a fit.

Mother gives up their 3-year-old family cat for adoption because it was "too much", then adopts a brand new kitten 2 months later
When you adopt a cat, it is a 10-to 20-year commitment. You don't just get rid of them when they're no longer convenient. You made a pawmise to them to love and care for them their entire lives, and to break that promise is unforgivable. So, we understand this purrson's dilemma with the thread below. Their sister-in-law gave up her 3-year-old cat for adoption because it was too much with the cat and her two kids, and then two months later, adopted a new kitten. Hypocritical much?
