'Enjoy your view of my 8 ft fence!': Entitled resident complains about sick neighbor's un-mowed lawn, neighbor gets even by building a tall fence to obstruct their view

Let this story serve as a friendly reminder to be careful when it comes to what you're willing to complain about in public. When you bother someone about how they choose to conduct their lives, you might not get exactly what you want. People are not necessarily willing to let themselves be pestered into compliance. 

In this instance, we have a resident who was overwhelmed with taking care of his father and the upkeep of the house, when his next-door neighbor began to complain about his un-mowed grass. At the time, the resident was also under the weather and therefore let his grass grow a little longer than usual, prompting the neighbor to stir up trouble. Of course, the resident's lawn is not shared, but it does serve as a visual background for the disgruntled neighbor. That's when the resident got to thinking about the best way to get this guy to leave him and the length of the grass on his lawn alone for good.

  • The funny thing about tall picket fences is that, while they might be a boring look in this day and age, they can stop neighbors from being nosy. In this case, the author of this tale decided that a tall eight-foot fence would do the trick and get his entitled neighbor to back off. After all, with that obstructed view, how could he complain about his grass anymore?
