Entitled boss asks for underpaid employees to be "team players" and voluntarily take pay deductions for the company's benefit: 'You could deduct anywhere from to 10 to 5,000 a paycheck!'

The concept of being a team player at work has certainly changed a lot from what it should be. Sure, in theory, team players are folks who prioritize what is best for the team at large over their own needs. However, authority figures tend to twist this concept by making it seem like they have the best interests of the team at heart, whereas in reality, they are the ones who aren't thinking and acting like team players. If they were, far more employees on teams such as this one would be making fair salaries and enjoying decent benefits through their respective workplaces. 

Instead, upper management at companies such as this Washington-based organization decided that it was appropriate to request that their employees voluntarily agree to significant deductions from their paychecks.
