35-year-old male passenger goes on tirade on flight against 40-year-old woman for taking her dog out of the carrier: 'You better put the dog back'

Flight etiquette can really make or break the experience of the average passenger. Before we launch into this story, wherein an owner took her dog out of the carrier only to be on the receiving end of another passenger's wrath, let's take this opportunity to go over a few no-nos before you start aggravating the people around you during your next flight.

First and foremost, always adhere to the leg and arm room that has been designated for you. Invading the personal space of others is an easy recipe for conflict. Next, be sure that your overhead light and air controls are pointed only in your direction. Furthermore, if everyone on the plane is sleeping and you're in a window seat, do not raise the shade to allow bright light to seep in and wake everyone. It's really not that difficult to respect the space and boundaries of other folks, and yet, so many passengers go out of their way to stir up trouble.

  • In this instance, we have a woman who violated the Delta policy by removing her dog from the carrier. Now, there is a way to contact the flight attendant to discipline the passenger or to even kindly ask the lady to put her dog back, but this author took things a few steps too far. Two wrongs do not make a right, people!
