Entitled neighbor’s 4th of July party

I'm all for having friends over on the weekend. And I fully understand that the 4th of July is going to result in lots of noise

and fireworks being lit off. Our city allows them in town until 11pm. We stayed home with our dogs to keep them as calm as
  • 04
possible. Everyone has the right to enjoy their evening, but you would think there would be some respect for others.
  • 05
The neighbors that live behind us had friends over. Like 10-12 cars/trucks parked on the street. They were drinking and being
  • 06
loud as younger people do. Again, I didn't mind. They did, however, get the largest, loudest fireworks I've ever heard. Each

artillery explosion rattled our windows. They had been at it since before 9pm, which gave them plenty of time to celebrate.
  • 08
Here's where I think they were entitled... Several of the party goers walked up to stand in our front yard at the intersection and

light large fountains and fireworks. They were 10 feet from our vehicles at that point. Multiple times throughout the

night, streaks of light showed up on our doorbell camera flying between our house and the other neighbor's and then exploding.

During all of this, their music was playing so loudly that we could hear every word inside our house with the windows closed.
  • 13
At 1:15am, the police finally showed up and told them to knock it off. They toned it down, but they were still partying at 3:00

when we finally got the dogs calm enough to sleep. This is not the first time they've had music this loud until the wee

hours of the morning. I just wish they would think about the people around them and take it inside.
  • 16
Also, when we left the house this morning, the trash is sitting out at the corner of our yard.

Team Alley_678 OP The fireworks are once again year. The music and yelling until 3am is every 3rd or 4th weekend since they moved in.

BecGeoMom You didn't say anything? You didn't go out and tell them to get off your property? You didn't call the police when fireworks zoomed past your Ring doorbell camera? You didn't tell them to take their garbage and get away
  • 20
from your vehicles? I mean, you sat inside your house watching your Ring camera footage, knowing they were outside on your lawn, close to your cars, and you did not once tell them to leave?
  • 21
Team_Alley_678 OP By the time I saw on the camera that they were in our yard, they had walked back to their property. The one that went between the houses made
  • 22
noise, so we checked the video. We didn't say anything to them because there were a lot of people, drinking, and explosives. We did call the police.

Admirable Summer_917 Our last backyard neighbors had wild parties frequently. Most of them had to be broken up by the cops at 3am. Daughter and I would be outside at 7 am sharp with our handy dandy air horn. We couldn't sleep, neither would they.

jlm20566 Welcome to Arizona: where the locals treat the 4th of July like it's Call of Duty: Suburbia Edition. I swear, the fireworks sound like mortar shells, the ground shakes, and someone's uncle is always out there lighting fuses in flip-flops, a tank top, and a beer in hand yelling, "MURICA!"
