Facebook, what a place. Left to twist in the winds of time, hanging on by a thread much like MySpace did towards its end, it has become an unhinged place to hang out in. which has it's up and its downs no doubt, but the brilliance of humanity has not been dampened by its tarnished name, if anything the opposite as it seems that people are willing to show just how unseriously they take the platform.

And there is no better way to see this than through what we like to call the modern garage sale, also known as Facebook Marketplace. A place to buy anything and everything, for the weirdest prices, from the weirdest people, with the weirdest descriptions. Sometimes it truly feels like it is more about buying something with a ridiculous story than buying the thing itself. And today we have a collection of hilarious posts from the internet's garage sale, that really deserve to be in jail for their crimes again cringe.

  • You have to love how Facebook marketplace thrives off ambiguity and impulsivity. Ambiguity because it is impossible to tell if Mangioni painted this himself or if it is another artist’s portrait, and impulsivity because there is no chance anyone would buy this other than as an impulse buy. We are also pretty sure this is a poor representation of Mangioni.

  • There is something unsettling as it is when you come to consider buying a full body costume second hand. But there is something even more unsettling when it is being sold for a dollar, and the listing has an over use of dinkuses (yes that is what they call…). We can only imagine how many tears have been shed in that hollow costume.
