'No need for any other compensation!': Boomer dog owner needs a dog sitter but doesn’t want to pay for one, so she offers for them to sit on her porch as payment

If you didn't know it before you got one, pets are expensive. Between their food, toys, and randomly expensive vet visits only to be told they're just "gassy", your pooch can rack up a monthly bill that can wreak havoc on your bank account. And that's not even including dog walkers, if you don't work from home. That can easily add another couple hundred dollars to your budget. But, they are our children, and whatever they need, we will find a way to pay for. We will, at least. Others, like the woman below, will try to guilt people into doing it for free.

In the post below, a boomer dog owner needed someone to dog sit her pupper, but apparently didn't feel like paying for it. So, instead of offering a financial incentive, she chose to offer a nice place to sit instead, like on her porch or in her air-conditioned living room! How thoughtful of her! We had a brief stint as a dog walker and sitter before we started writing for Animal Comedy. Just to go check on the dog was around $30. Less than $20 doesn't even cover our travel costs, not to mention it takes time away that we could be walking other dogs. Not going to cut it, lady!

If it was for a friend whose dog we really loved, sure, we would do it for free. But for some random woman? No thanks. Also, she's very trusting to let someone into her home and stay there, that she doesn't even know. We wouldn't do the same.
