College student gets even with messy roommate by letting his milk spoil: 'He returned from his vacation to a humid and hot bedroom that reeked of spoiled milk and nasty bacteria'

Being a college student inevitably means having a messy roommate at some point during your four years. It's an unofficial rite of passage before you earn your degree. The problem is that no matter how clean you are and regardless of how good you think you are at spotting red flags beforehand, you never truly understand what it's like to live with someone until after you have chosen to move in with that person. 

Part of the reasoning is that when everyone is searching for a roommate, they are going to present the best versions of themselves. Sure, they might say that they loathe leaving dirty dishes in the sink at night, but that does not necessarily mean they will actually follow through with that promise in practice. 

This college student found himself in a difficult conundrum in which his roommate was seemingly unable to clean up after himself. When they would have confrontations about this, the roommate did not seem to understand how frustrating this was for the author.   • Let's just say that when this guy returned home after his week-long vacation, he finally felt the consequences of what it's like to not have your roommate constantly cleaning up after you all the time.
