It's part of the fine print of your dog owner contract that when you get a dog, you officially become their pawfessional photographer. The instinct to snap a quick pic of them kicks in immediately when you bring them home. The portraits can range from their tongue hanging out of their mouths in a silly blep to a sunshine-y smile while resting in the park. Of course, we can't furget the many pictures of them sleeping. In fact, we don't even need an excuse to photograph them anymore, sometimes we're just so overwhelmed by our love for them that we have to commemorate even the most plain moments.

For all you parents who have more pictures of your puppers than anything else (even your own hooman children), these doggo memes are just for you. We know your camera roll is full of puppy pics, and yes, we want to see all of them. You can skip through the ones of your kids, we only want to see canine children!

  • We…. may or may not be guilty of also dressing our doggo up in funny costumes. Does she love it? No. But she has to pay her rent somehow, and if it means taking pictures in a few ridiculous outfits a couple times a year, well, so be it. We all have to make sacrifices for the ones we love.

  • It sounds ridiculous, but it's actually true. Our partner needs to love dogs as much as we do because there is no way we're living the rest of our lives without a huge canine family. We want at least three dogs. That's the optimal number for couch snuggles, in case you were wondering.
