Tourist got annoyed because I got in the way of her photo

Yesterday I was walking in my home city when a tourist, a good 10 yards or so away from us, decided to start yelling at me and

my partner in French (I live in England). When he asked her what her problem was she responded in English saying 'I'm taking a photo.
  • 04
You're in my way.' I turned back and saw that she was trying to take a photo of a man who was literally around 50 yards away from us!

If I see somebody is taking a photo of somebody else I will do what I can to avoid it but seriously how am I supposed to know this

woman was taking a photo of her mate 60 yards away? He was behind us and I didn't see him. She could have been doing anything

on her phone and I'm not a mind reader. We were also in an extremely busy public place and it was ridiculous for her to expect nobody would get in her photo.
  • 08
Anyway I told her she doesn't own the pavement and just walked off.

Mediocre-Studio2573 I'd be like oh you want me in the photo and stand there posing for her.

riri2530 OP D n I should have done that. I'm surprised my bf didn't actually because he's the kind of guy who would.

blaedmon I just walk thru idiots like this. If they make a scene or say something, congrats - now I'm going to ask U repeat yourself

while I slowly walk towards you. If it's reasonable, I'll walk around. But if you're doing it on a d .n footpath... you are really very, very dumb..
  • 14
riri2530 OP The thing is because these two people were so far away from each other I didn't even realise she was trying to take a photo on him. It was also in a pedestrian area as well with heavy traffic so I honestly don't get why she thought nobody would be in the photo.

I did walk straight up to her camera and she shuffled off to the side before I told her she doesn't own the pavement.

Prestigious Leg7821 As someone who has to navigate the tourists on London Bridge regularly, I just walk thru every photo shot, I feel it gives them a realistic experience with a city worker, and if I did navigate them I'd walk about 500m further trying to dodge them all.

Kdoesntcare I'm kind of on the other side of this. I go to local car shows and the number of people who see you with a camera pointed at a car yet walk directly in front of you is insane. Even worse are the people who decide to stand in front of the car.

riri2530 OP She was taking a photo of somebody 60 yards away from her. There was no way I would have known what she was taking a photo of. In fact I didn't even see her until she started yelling at me.

Excellent Coconut_81 I just ignore people taking pics. It's their problem to get a clear shot, not mine.
