'It took a village': Guy saves tiny kitten covered in fleas from baking under the sun at local Walmart, now she might join a feline family of 7 who already adores her

You find the darndest things at Walmart these days, eh, feline fam?

And kittens aren't even the craziest things we've found at Walmart! Although that doesn't make this story any less special. The purrticular feline lover in this post already had seven cats. That's a lot, even for us feline fanatics. However, even if we had 100 cats, we wouldn't turn down a kitty in need. When he found out that there was a kitten literally baking underneath the summer sun near a local Walmart, he sprang into action to help the poor thing.

She was covered in ticks, fleas, and warbles (we had no idea what that was until we read through this), but now she's clean, happy, and hoping to be adopted into her feline family that already loves her. This just goes to show how far cat people will go to help their feline friends, and we think we could all learn a little more from stories like this.   • She may be wrapped up like a purrito, but after this picture, we can tell she's going to be a spicy kitten! We like our kitten with a little bit of heat. If their kittenhood is too calm, we start to get nervous that they're actually planning to destroy us.

    first warble last night, pulled ten ticks off her, and about 60 fleas. Five baths later, she's pretty clean. She's been vetted for the warble wound, URI, and gut worms. She'll convalescence and q antine in our laundry

    room for a while. Keeping her is on the table, but we already have 7 and she would be the youngest by far. If she does have to go to a new home, I will be selective.

  • A warble is caused by the larvae of an insect messing with the cat's skin. It's too gross to go into more detail, but now you know! We thought it was something out of Harry Potter, but it turns out that it's very real!

    Minor thing maybe but try to keep her litter away from her food/water.. even just outside of the crate a few feet away. I can't remember the reasoning exactly, probably because as humans would say, you don't sh where you eat lol. I mean, I wouldn't probably enjoy the smell of fresh strawberries if I was keeping them beside my toilet. Lol.
