‘Reasonable’ dad throws reason out the window when entitled guy starts yelling at his kids for playing ball, ends up getting the guy fined and removed: ‘Knowing where this was going, I smiled…’

When it comes to parenting, it is more than just teaching your kids the ABC and providing them with food and shelter. You have to poor all your love on them and protect them as best as you can. It's difficult to decipher when to protect them from more meta things like heartbreak and disappointment, or if you even should. But sometimes the time to protect is starkly clear. 

 

Take this papa bear during a 4th of July family gathering. His kids were playing in the grass in their yard like they always do. They live in a cul-de-sac that provides a lot of room for the neighborhood kids to play and just be kids. But one entitled dude who was visiting another resident didn't get the memo that this was a family friendly place and male Karens are not welcomed…

  • So when these kids had a ball they missed and it bounced off of this stranger's car, he threw a fit. He not only started to whine about the ball, he started blaming the kids for all of his car's issues. This papa bear was not having it and made sure to get up and defend his kids and kids' friends. After a lot of back and forth, and long story short, he ended up getting this guy heavily fined and forced to move his car. Parent win!

  • less reasonable. So we're going back and forth and then he says the magic. word that if we aren't willing to pay for everything he's going to call the park safety office. to come deal with it. Knowing where this was going I smiled and said yes ok let's do that.

  • So the officer comes out and to no ones surprise but this guy the area his car is parked is a no parking area, so not only does the officer tell him to deal with it because if he had followed the rules and parked in an actual parking zone this

  • wouldn't have happened, and because they guy told him he'd been parked there for 2 days with no issues before now, he got a nice fat ticket and order to move his car.

  • laughed and said our scratches were rusted over and many years old. He warned the neighbor it was a false report and not to do it again. I still to this day don't know why our neighbor got a bug up his bt about it, but we've never talked about it since then.
