  • I work in Utah. This morning I (30 f) was walking over to my boss' office to give him some papers and overheard him talking to another person in management, who is not in my chain of command.
  • She is over a different group. After hearing them complaining about me, I walked in and said, "Thanks guys. I heard all of that."

  • My Supervisor went completely silent, and I started hyperventilating a bit, but tried to maintain composure to get out of there before I cried in front of them.
  • I handed the papers to my Supervisor and walked out of the room. Behind me as I was walking away, the lady he was talking to said very loudly, "Pssh, We don't care."

  • There was nobody else around at the time because it was still early at the beginning of work. Last week, while I was working from home, my new teammate of just 2 months,
  • called me to tell me that he came to her office complaining about me. She tried to set him straight and say that if he has issues, he should come talk to me directly.
  • Today, after it happened, I went to find her because she texted asking where I was. I had left my office door open when I walked away, which was abnormal.

  • And she went to ask him where I went. He told her he didn't know, but that I had just caught him talking to that lady about me. And then completely unprovoked,
  • he starts telling her everything he told that lady AND saying even more complaints to her about me. She relayed everything to me, which was interesting because I hadn't told her
  • what they had talked about or anything. What should I do? I'm not sure this is illegal or reportable to HR. It's harassment, but not necessarily discriminatory.

  • Someone suggested that I reach out to our Supervisor above him and schedule a mediation meeting with both Supervisors to try to clear the air.
  • What is the best way to word an email like that? TIA!
